Thesaurus of Tourism and Leisure Time Activities
The publication of the Thesaurus of Tourism and Leisure Time Activities was based on cooperation with the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) whose headquarters are in Madrid, Spain. The first thesaurus was produced by the French Tourist Organization, Secretariat d'Etait au Tourisme. The thesaurus has been published in French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian and Croatian. System of Scientific Information, Subsystem of Social Sciences
BIT, with its information fund, participates in projects with the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports System of Scientific Information – Subsystem of Social Sciences.
BITnet
The BITnet project’s aim is to create a scientific portal (gateway) to support the research into the phenomena of tourism and related areas in Croatia. With the aim to improve the information exchange in tourism, the Institute for Tourism has started to connect related libraries in the country (university, institute, etc.) and libraries of other institutions (MMTPR, HTZ, GK, etc.). They offer links to high quality online bibliographic databases, magazines and other contents.
