Mission of the journal
An International Interdisciplinary Journal TOURISM is the scientific, peer reviewed journal whose contents cover the entire spectrum of themes connected with travel and tourism, and which are equally important to academics and members of the industry. Respecting the multidisciplinary approach to the study of travel and tourism, the journal publishes works from economics, marketing, geography, sociology, anthropology, psychology, the hotel and catering industries, transportation, education and history. The categories of the works are varied: academic articles, research results, reports from conferences, news about educational programs, presentations of books, presentations of internet sources, etc.
TURIZAM is one of the oldest journals in the world and it has been in constant circulation since 1953. In the journal, alongside the translations of the articles published in An International Interdisciplinary Journal TOURISM, you can also find professional overviews and presentations of topics of which are important for Croatian tourism and domestic readers.
In 2006, the Publishing Committee of the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports included TURIZAM among 10% of the best journals in the area of social sciences in Croatia.
