Izidora Marković Vukadin Publishes a Chapter in a Springer Book

Our researcher, Dr. sc. Izidora Marković Vukadin, together with Prof. Dr. sc. Kristina Afrić Rakitovac and Associate Prof. Dr. sc. Nataša Urošević, has published a chapter entitled Challenges of Measuring Sustainable Tourism Development in the Mediterranean—Case Study of Croatia in the book Global Challenges and Uncertainty in Tourism and Hospitality, Volume II, published by the prestigious Springer.

The chapter provides an analysis of the challenges in measuring sustainable tourism development in the Mediterranean context, with a particular focus on Croatia. The authors discuss the complexity of definitions and methodologies for measuring sustainability and emphasize the importance of integrating economic, social, cultural, and environmental dimensions in the development of tourist destinations. Through a case study, the chapter highlights key obstacles in the implementation of sustainability indicators and offers guidance for future research and practice.
