On 19 and 20 February 2026, the Nautical & Health Summit was held at the Zagreb Fair as part of the Zagreb Boat Show, bringing together key stakeholders from the nautical, medical, wellness, and investment sectors.
At the opening panel titled “Strategic Development of Health & Nautical Tourism in Croatia”, Dr. Sanela Grujo Vrkljan, PhD, from the Institute for Tourism participated as a speaker.
She shared examples of best practices from destinations around the world, with particular emphasis on the Mediterranean and the European Union, and presented the latest trends in the sector.Dr. Grujo Vrkljan particularly emphasized that people – both tourists and the local community – are at the center of sustainable development, actively participating in the planning and development of destinations.
