Partner Visit to Sarajevo within the People Powered Tourism Project

From 21 to 22 October, together with our associated partner, the Slavonski Brod–Posavina Area Tourist Board, we took part in a partner visit to Sarajevo, during which we explored and evaluated the pilot activities of the People Powered Tourism project, implemented under the Interreg Danube Region Programme. The two-day programme was organised by the project partner, the City of Sarajevo.

The first day of the programme was dedicated to the Čavljak area, where a hiking activity provided an opportunity to explore the area's natural features, landscape values and tourism potential.

On the second day, a walk along the Miljacka River, passing the Inat House and continuing towards the Goat's Bridge (Kozja ćuprija), followed by a return route through Dariva and the Ambassadors' Alley, offered an opportunity to discover the cultural and historical heritage, as well as the natural and recreational potential of this part of Sarajevo.

Through joint activities and the exchange of experiences, we discussed opportunities for developing authentic and sustainable tourism experiences based on local heritage and the involvement of the local community.

We would like to thank the City of Sarajevo and all project partners for their warm hospitality and for the opportunity to explore the destination together and exchange experiences and ideas!
