Last week, the proceedings of the international scientific conference ToSEE – Tourism in Southern and Eastern Europe (“Shaping the Future: Digital Tourism and Sustainable Development”), organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Management in Opatija, were published, featuring two papers authored by our colleagues.

The paper “From Fairy Tales to Literary Tourism: Enhancing Ogulin’s Tourist Appeal” by Ives Vodanović Lukić, Nora Mustać, and Ksenija Tokić analyzes the impact of a festival rooted in literary heritage on the tourist attractiveness of the town of Ogulin, with a particular focus on its role in the development of literary tourism and the strengthening of destination identity.
This paper was developed within the scientific research project of the Institute for Tourism AKULTUR – Activating Cultural Heritage in Croatian Tourism.

The paper “Sacred Sustainability: The Catholic Church’s Reflections on Tourism and Its Future” by Ives Vodanović Lukić examines the potential influence of the Catholic Church on changing the behavior of believers with regard to sustainable practices in tourism.
