The Croatian Sustainable Tourism Observatory (CROSTO: http://crosto.hr/hr/o-projektu/o-nama/) has been a member of the International Network of Sustainable Tourism Observatories (INSTO) under the auspices of the World Tourism Organization since 2016 (http://insto.unwto.org/observatories/). At this year's third INSTO INSIGHTS webinar (February 23rd 2023), which was dedicated to the measurement and management of water consumption in destinations, Zrinka Marušić presented to the members of the INSTO network the experiences and activities of the Institute for Tourism in that area (Presentation: Measuring water consumption and wastewater production; enhancing monitoring through TSSA).
In addition to the activities within the CROSTO observatory, the project Tourism Sustainability Satellite Account of the Republic of Croatia (TSSA), which is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Croatia as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, was presented (More about the project TSSA: https://www.iztzg.hr/ hr/system-of-satellite-accounts-of-sustainable-tourism-rh/).
