In April, a new scientific paper by our colleague Ives Vodanović Lukić titled "I Feel at Home: Visitors’ Perspective of Arts Festivals in Croatia" was published in the European Countryside journal (Q2 category).
The paper explores visitor satisfaction at small arts festivals, focusing on the overall festival experience and service quality. The research is based on 40 semi-structured interviews with visitors at five arts festivals in Croatia. Findings show that visitors particularly value opportunities to create social intimacy, which stems from the scale and spatial features of the festivals, as well as a sense of relaxation, a pleasant atmosphere, and the high quality of program content.
The paper is available at the following LINK.
The research was conducted as part of the scientific project “Activating Cultural Heritage in Croatian Tourism” (AKULTUR), led by the Institute for Tourism.
